My process includes painting in layers of glazed water soluble mediums on printed linen cotton canvas. The painted composition is layered like a quilt with non-woven batting. Using a sewing machine I create a contour drawing over the composition adding patterns of colored thread. All the raw edges are finished by hand. The soft canvas floats on a support slat just beyond the wall.
